ZED
#8 is now available!
ZED
#8 is here! I set everything into high gear
to make sure I'd have the finished issue in time
for the Emerald
City Comicon and today, thanks
to my good friends at Lebonfon, I'm holding the
printed copies in my frail and pulsating
little hands. Now, I need to get back to the
drawing board and start the next issue. Only
2 more to go. I've got a really tight ending
for the story and I guarantee it will surprise,
shock, please and disturb many.
If
you haven't read ZED yet and would like to check
it out, may I suggest ordering the full
set.
All
the
remaining
copies
of issue #2 have been used to make complete
signed sets, so this is the only way you can get
that particular issue.

More
Website Improvements
ZED
#8 is at the printer
and all my freelance is currently wrapped up so
I thought I'd dedicate a few days to work on the
website.
I've
reorganized a lot of the images, made bigger
more appealing icons and upgraded tons of pages
with easier and more consistent navigational
links.
Check
out some of the new gallery pages such as Clone
Wars, Character
Designs, Miscellaneous
Gallery - all
these pages are accessible through the
main Gallery
index. There are also tons of other
improvements throughout but you'll just have
to explore to find them. I'm always trying
to make
this site more attractive and fun
to visit.

Two
Award Nominations
I
just learned that I received a nomination for the
2006 JOE SHUSTER AWARD in the Outstanding
Canadian Comic Book Cartoonist category.
You can see the full list of nominees here.
On
top of that, ZED
#7 is nominated for an Ursa Major
Award in the Best Anthropomorphic Comic
Book of 2006 category. This is the second
time ZED has been nominated for this particular
award.
Voting
for both of these awards is open to everyone and
can be done on line. If you like my work, this
is a great way to show your support ;)

Mixomation
ID and More
I
just added a bunch of animation clips to the website.
First,
is a clip from an animated ID I just created for Mixomation. You
can see the clip and read about the making of it
here.
I
added two clips of my work on Osmosis Jones:
the opening title sequence and the death of Thrax. You
can view and read about them here.
I
consolidated all the Iron Giant material
I had on the website in one comprehensive page. I
also added two clips I animated from the film.
And
last but not least, you can now download all
the Insanely Twisted Shadow Puppets shorts
in one continuous movie.

Demon
Dog Rabbit on eBay
While
visiting my local comic shop the other day, I saw
that they had one of the long sold out Demon
Dog Rabbit Limited Statue on their shelf.
I told the owner that I'm always getting requests
from people about this item and that he should put
it on eBay - and if he did, I'd plug the auction
on my site. So here it goes. Check

4 Available for Pre-Order
Flight
4 is now available for pre-order
on Amazon.com. The new volume will include
a 32-page chapter of "The
Saga of Rex" as well as a bunch of sequential
narratives by some of the best artists I know.
The incredible cover is by Kazu
Kibuishi who also has a wonderful story inside
the book. This will be a jaw dropping anthology
- don't miss it!
